VISIT OF THE CITY AND NEARBY RUINS

SCHEDULE: The bus picks up the passengers from the hotel at the
stated time. It starts a short tour by the ancient downtown,
following it gets into the Cathedral for a guided visit, then it
makes a visit to Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, afterwards it
starts a tour to enter and visit the four ruins nearby:
Sacsayhuaman,
Qenqo, Puca pucara, Tambomachay, when ending the tour the passengers
are taken to their respective hotels or if they wish they stay in
the Main Square.
CATHEDRAL: It was
constructed between 1560 and 1664, great blocks of red granite were
used the facade is of renaissance style, in the interior an
Altarpiece worked in silver is watched, it holds great treasures in
goldsmith and paintings from Cusco of the colonial epoch.
KORICANCHA: It
was building the Inca epoch to workshop the sun, its walls are large
blocks of stone over these Inca remains was built the Convent of
Santo Domingo.
SACSAYHUAMAN:. At 2 kms. From the city of Cusco, archeological
complex of cyclopean dimensions. The construction is Inca of three
platforms put over that have an average of 360mts. Length. It

KENKO: It is a
rocky place where stairs and ceremonial altars have been carved, it
was used as an oracle or shrine, for religious ceremonies, it has a

of 5.90 m. With the appearance of a Puma.
PUCA PUCARA: It
could have been a spot for control and storage of the production of
the valley nearby. At. 6kms. from the city of Cusco, it has an
appearance of a military complex.
TAMBOMACHAY: They
are constructions in stone finely assembled, exists two aqueducts by
which flows water from a manantial whose origin is unknown, the
water falls in a fountain called the Bath of the Inca. At. 7 kms.
From the city beautiful fountains of water are appreciated.

2 DAY:
TRIP TO MACHUPICCHU 1 DAY
Lasting : 1 day
Frequency : everyday (subjected to spaces in the train.)
SCHEDULE: It starts with the transfer of the passengers from the
hotel to the train station, the tour by train from Cusco up to the
town of Aguas Calientes lasts approximately three and a half hours,
in the town of Aguas Calientes we go on board to the buses that
transfer the passengers to the citadel of Machupicchu where they
will stay for approximately two hours to make the guided visit.
Ending the visit they will get back by bus to the town of Aguas
Calientes for lunch, and then take the train for returning to Cusco.
In the station the transport will take them to their hotel.

3 DAY:
Travel to Manu
MANU
4, 5, 6, DAY:
Day 1: Cusco –
Puerto Maldonado – Tambo Jungle Lodge - Monkey Island.
On arrival of your flight to Puerto Maldonado, our guides or staff
will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the centre of the
town where you can experience the exotic local market depending on
the arrival time of the flights we may have the first lunch here or
while travelling to the lodge or in the lodge. Your excess luggage
will be stored safely in our office in Puerto Maldonado and then we
will continue onto the port. We take our private bus along the Madre
de Dios river for approximately 1 hour to Tambo Jungle Lodge. A cool
welcome drink awaits you will be shown to your bungalows to settle
in.
In the afternoon we will take a 30 minutes boat journey to Monkey
Island where you appreciate a great diversity of monkeys such the:
spider, capuchin, tamarines y squirrel monkeys as well as racoons,
capybaras and a rich variety of birds.
Return to Tambo Jungle Lodge, for a traditional dinner. Nocturnal
activities are available each night. These range nocturnal walks,
talks on different topics and caiman spotting when are optimal
Day 2: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Sandoval Lake.
After a great jungle breakfast, we take 1 and half hour walk to the
famous Sandoval Lake, passing through virgin forest, home to
beautiful flora and fauna including: Giant Otters, birds, alligators,
turtles, and variety of fish. We will spend few hours in canoe on
this one of the most beautiful lakes in region.
One of the most awe inspiring features of the jungle in the enormity
of the trees and you will have the experience of standing at the
base of the huge kapok tree. We may take a short visit on the
traditional farming areas to see the production of regular supplies.
Day 3: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Taricaya Project.
Jungle breakfast, we will travel a further 1 hour down river to the
Taricaya project of specialized trails where you will be led by your
guide for discovering the amazing ecosystem up close (canopy) along
and array of trails.
We will further amaze you with the marvels of the jungle through a
gentle hike and learning to recognize; birds calls, footprints and
plants.
This day we will visit a local family who will show us different
aspects about their life.
Day 4: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Parrot’s Clay Lick – Puerto Maldonado –
Cusco or Lima.
Very early departure to witness the spectacle of the Parrot’s Clay
Lick, sunrise on the rivers as we journey 1 and half hours to the
wall before hundreds of green parrots congregate at first light each
morning. We will generally be able to spend about one hour here
before reboarding the boat to enjoy breakfast on our return to
Puerto Maldonado. Check in 2 hours before your flight on to Cusco or
Lima.
